Our Worship Council is made up of dedicated children elected by their peers to take on a vital role in our school community. These young leaders are entrusted with several important responsibilities that enhance our collective worship experience and promote our Christian values throughout the school.

Responsibilities of the Worship Council

  • Supporting Worship Times in school and at St. Michael's: The Worship Councillors assist in the smooth running of our daily worship sessions, ensuring that each gathering is engaging and meaningful for all students.
  • Implementing Christian Values: They play a key role in promoting our half-termly Christian values, helping their fellow students understand and embody these principles in their daily lives.
  • Monitoring and Reviewing Activities: The Council regularly evaluates our worship activities and prayer initiatives, providing feedback to ensure that our spiritual practices are relevant and impactful for everyone in the school.

Importance of the Worship Council

The Worship Council is integral to fostering a strong spiritual life at Shap CE School. By encouraging peer involvement and leadership, these councillors help create a supportive environment where all children can engage with their faith. Their enthusiasm and dedication not only enrich our worship experiences but also promote a culture of reflection, compassion, and community amongst the children.

As they embark on their new responsibilities, we invite everyone to join us in congratulating and supporting our Worship Councillors. Their commitment to enhancing our school’s spiritual journey is commendable, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have throughout the year.
