Welcome toShap CE Primary SchoolA Safe Branch from which to Soar

SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED ON TUESDAY 11 FEBRUARY

PLEASE NOTE SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED ON TUESDAY 11 FEBRUARY 2020.
United Utilities are working on a damaged water main caused by the flooding over the weekend. Supply to approximately 7000 families and buildings is likely to be affected, and a major incident has now been declared in relation to this, which will be coordinated by Cumbria Police.
United Utilities have made clear that repair will not be completed for at least 16 hours. Dan Barton (Assistant Director of Education) has advised that due to these estimates, we need to inform parents that schools will be closed now, rather than wait over night for clarification. He has therefore advised that 26 local schools remain closed tomorrow, with Shap CE School being one of them.
Dan Barton will coordinate communication amongst schools, and we will keep all of our families updated as to progress.
