Ellie and Rory, Professional Golf Coaches from Penrith Golf Hub , came to school to help support our learning with target games. Children in Y1-6 had a training session on developing their golf skills in order to improve accuracy.

The children learnt the acronym GAPS:

1. Grip
2. Aim
3. Posture
4. Stance

This acronym acted as a reminder to help them hit the ball.

The children then practised using a putter to accurately hit the ball small distances and used an iron to try and hit the ball up in the air over a longer distance!
