When talking about shadows, the children had so many questions to ask 'Why so shadows change size? How do they change size? Why can some shadows be black and others lighter?' We decided to explore all of these ideas. The children followed their own lines of enquiry, thinking about how they could set up, carry out and record an investigation to answer their questions.
