Art - Large Charcoal Drawings
Following on from our outdoor learning session, we looked at a range of cave paintings and talked about what we could see. We identified, they were mostly made up of animals that were around during the Stone Age.
We then thought about what animals are native to Shap and created some large drawings of these animals. We use charcoal to make our sketches, as this was a material that would have been used during the Stone Age because it is made from burring willow branches. When sketching, we thought carefully about the shapes we could see within the animals.
