Eden Big Sing 2019 - Tuesday 25th June

KS2 children took part in an evening of singing at Kirkby Stephen Grammar School. The event was organised by Cumbria Music Education Hub to celebrate the work we do in the Eden area to support and develop singing. Each of the four primary schools performed a 'favourite' song, then all schools became the choir for a short production called 'Dragon Days'. The music was provided by BlueJam Arts. A big well done to all of our singers, and a huge thank you to all the parents who came along to support.

Charanga Training - 28th March 2019

Mrs Chappell and Mrs Maud had a fantastic time at the free Cumbria Music Hub SEND CREATE CHARANGA training at North Lakes Primary School. The session was delivered by Ben Sellers who created it and has spent time delivering it here and abroad.

Young Voices

Shap School has been attending Young Voices concerts since 2015. It is a wonderful experience for our children to sing in the largest children's choir concerts in the world. Each concert, between 5,000-8,000 children perform as a single choir to a sold-out audience of family and friends. All of the songs are sent to school before the concert, so it gives us time to learn the tunes, words and actions. We look forward to receiving the music packs each year to see which wonderful songs we will be singing at the next concert.
