Sept 23 - Autumn, Harvest, Sensory Walk

The class enjoyed a sensory walk around the school grounds to look for signs of Autumn. They used their eyes to look and find apples, blackberries, conkers and pears. They used their hands to feel the textures of the fruits when they were picked. They heard the wind in the trees and liked the sound of the crack and snap of the twigs and leaves as they walked. Back in the classroom they used their noses to smell and tongues to taste the different fruits. "The apples are a little sour" "The pears are crunchy" "The blackberries are juicy!"
