BBC Live Lesson from Vindolanda
In preparation for our up and coming field trip, we joined the BBC live lesson presented by archaeologist Raksha Dave and history enthusiast Ben Shires from Vindolanda in Northumberland. During the lesson, we become history detectives and followed clues to uncover the identities of people who once lived at the famous Roman fort.
During the programme, we learnt about the work of archaeologists and examined the evidence of individuals that we might not have expected to have lived there.
